Jesse’s passion for cooking began at an early age at home in the kitchen helping prepare delicious family meals. Over time this passion grew and led him to study the Culinary Arts Program at George Brown College where he completed his formal training.
After graduation he spent several years working in some of Toronto’s most prestigious restaurants, working along side top Chefs such as David Adjey and Mark McEwan. This wealth of experience has taught Jesse to constantly be aware of the industry and continuously evolve while maintaining the integrity of classical dishes.
Throughout his career, his travels across Europe and North America introduced him to a wide range of unique cultures and cuisines. This inspiration led him to open a catering company that he successfully owned and operated for several years along with his café.
In 2013 Jesse met a group of young entrepreneurs that wanted to open an authentic Italian restaurant concept. This new opportunity allowed Jesse to return to his Italian roots and create authentic, scratch made Italian dishes.
Jesse has spent the last five years helping to develop and expand the Levetto brand.
